Vocabulary
Before writing this post, I tried to look through my vocabulary words and think of something to write about based on them. That didn't work, seeing as I'm now writing about vocabulary itself. It seems as if a lot of the words I've learned this year are too grandiose for general writing or speech. Though I do like having a wide vocabulary it is easier, in general, to keep my knowledge tacit.
That sounds arrogant, but at this point, people often don't worry about their vocabulary. People my age deem a wide vocabulary unnecessary. They think that their general diction is sufficient. I tend to go with that as well because explaining your word choice to your friends is no fun. However, I do pay attention to vocabulary.com and like to have a better lexicon for my use when I want.

ATDPTI Response 2
This part of the book didn't really pick up for me until around page one hundred. I like that Junior has gained Gordy's respect. Even if they aren't the closest of friends, they both needed someone so I'm glad they are friends now. I also like that the people at Reardan are kind of respecting Junior, Roger acknowledges him and now Gordy does too and I'm proud of Junior. He made a big decision to go to Reardan and so far it's paying off.
I think that the decision to go to school off of the reservation was incredibly brave and something I probably wouldn't do in his place. I would be very worried to leave Episcopal, especially if I was in Junior's situation, a minority going into a new, prejudiced school. And based on how Junior was doing at his previous school, he's not doing terribly at his new school and at least he believes in his decision. Finally, I think that Junior will benefit greatly from his new school and I want to believe that he will eventually make more friends.

Research
During the research process, I've realized the importance of a thorough outline. Having notecards and lots of information gathered in one place makes writing your outline and ultimately your paper much easier. Besides having your notecards and outline well done, having all of your sources together and ready is really helpful. I don't know if I would have been so organized without being prompted by teachers and I know that I would not have made so many notecards, but they're worth it.
I don't really like using primary sources even though those are authentic and should be very helpful. Most of the time they're uninteresting and are written in old language. They aren't exactly hard to read but they aren't enjoyable to decipher either. I find them vague a lot of the time but I suppose it's because I'm an outsider on whatever topic they're discussing. Overall, primary sources have been the only specific thing that I've struggled with besides completing everything in good time.

Free Post: Sunday
Sundays seem like they should be a good, enjoyable day of the week. That's wrong. Try as I might to get all of my homework done in study hall, I still always end up with too much homework on the weekends. Fridays are arguably the best day of the week because you know that you can sleep in as late as you want on Saturdays. Saturdays aren't as great because you know you have to get up at a fairly reasonable time on Sundays. And Sundays are kind of the worst because after waking up before eleven and mentally preparing yourself to do all of your homework, Sundays become a cesspool of lost dreams and biology notes.
This Sunday is an example of a better Sunday though it is nothing like those of years past. My family and I used to go to brunch on Sundays and enjoy the weather and such. These days I spend most of the day on various subjects' work and then might go on a walk. If the weather is nice I also enjoy doing my work outside to feel closer to nature. I also have considered doing my homework on Saturday but that's no fun and I'd rather sit around and watch Game of Thrones or go to lunch. Overall, I should probably consider doing my homework on another weekend day, but I suppose we all have to make sacrifices since I'd much rather have fun on Fridays.
